An Ordinary Week
A quiet reflection on the past week from my mom’s stoep. Turned out to be more beautiful than I first realised.
It’s Sunday afternoon. I’m sitting on my mom’s stoep. Pen in hand, notebook open.
I’ve been wondering about my next newsletter - what will I write about?
Normally thoughts of the same “thing” lands throughout the week, and I know what I will write about.
I have also made a list of ideas to write about by now, but this week feels different.
I don’t feel inspired to write...
I feel tired.
I am tired.
And that’s it.
I will respect it.
I will give myself the permission to just be, and just write the thoughts that comes up as I sit here, peacefully, reflecting on my past week.
My current view 😊
This was not a special week. It was hard work, late nights, eating almost only leftovers.
BUT,
I caught up with new friends,
I worked hard and feel really good about our team and the next 6 months.
I had fish&chips in the sun.
There were many beautiful sunsets and sun rises.
I had warm clothes, warm water, and a warm bed.
I took the dogs for long walks,
I read, I wrote, I was supported.
I had difficult conversations which went well. I am building that muscle. 😉
I have a paid-off car to take me places in this country which doesn’t have public transport.
I learned from Gen-Z how they process emotions and how they will arrange for a beggar to come work in their garden Saturday so that they earn the money they want to give them. I smile humbled…
I saw flowers,
in winter,
in the desert!
and a pool of water!!!
One of my besties had a baby boy and I know he is going to play a big role in his lifetime; he is solid- from birth.
I am inspired by how deep a relationship with God can go,
I am grateful for my coaches for guiding me.
I am spending a few days with my mom, while holding a dear friend in my heart standing next to her mother’s grave.
I am blessed. I am safe. I am held.
How are you?
This week, in my week of low output, I’d love to turn the tables and get to know you a little better.
So hit reply and tell me a little something about yourself.
I’d love to hear from you.
Thank you
And have a great week! 😉
xoxo
